More Belgian beer. This time, its a Duvel. Nice thing is its still family run, so you sort of expect them to care about what they make. I quite like the bottle, which is fatter and shorter than your typical ale bottles, almost like if you took the standard beer bottle and squashed the top down. Its a golden ale with a somewhat lasting head. Smells strangely like sarsparilla my first sniff. On further nosing, its definitely quite yeasty and sour and sort of spicy. Taste wise, I really do get a semi rootbeer feeling almost, especially with the creamy head. It is sour but in a lovely way and the bitterness disappears quite fast. Really pretty tasty and ratebeer seem to think so as well.
